RE: crossbow scopes
As chairman stated, there are the two scopes which he has mentioned plus there is another from excalibur, it is the Vari-Zone. This scope you can dial in your arrow speed to correct the yardage markers in the scope. Alot of people really like this scope, plus they are not expensive, yet they stand up well.
My dad has the horton crossbow scope and I do not like it. I find all the lines just clutter the view, to many things to choose from. I like it simple. The Excalibur scopes have 4 yardage markers (20,30,40,50) but still do not clutter the view. BTW I believe that shooting at game over 40 yards should not be taken, just too much time for the animal to move to a non leathal hit.
About the red dot, yes they can be used. Some people just love that setup.
