I was thinking of selling my bow. I was about to buy a new one for next season. I am torn between a Mathews or a Bowtech. They both seem to be quality bows, but I have not owned either before. I currently shoot a Carbon 4 Runner and love it. But I like having new technology too! I was also looking at the TSS from Hogh Country, But I have little faith on light arrow pass through. I read the other post on how bows depreciate in value so fast and new bows keep going up and up. I feel his pain. Every bow I sold fetched half what I paid. I have buddies that wait for me to sell my bows. Since they are always in perfect condition and state of tune. I just like having new gear. Call it a sickness, but I like to waste money on this stuff.
The Bowtech seems to have the fastest bow on the market. I am slightly weary of Bowtech. A few years back I bought a Parker with the crazy cam set up. It was a Bowtech design. That bow BLEW up in my hand while I was paper tuning. Literally jumped cam and exploded! That is when I returned it and bought my Carbon 4 Runner. Hopefully Bowtech has improved. I know Mathews has alwas been highly rated. I cannot believe the pricing on Mathews!!!??? I don't know which to get????

The only way to really decide is to go shot them and see what feels best for you. Had a friend just purchase an Archery Research. It is a lot quieter and faster than my present PSE. Only reservation I have is the cam and 1/2. I've heard that despite the "no timing' necessary that there might be timing problems later -- don't know.
Matthews and Bowtech are both great bows but it really comes down to a personal choice and what you feel confident in after shooting them.

Go to your local proshop and see what they suggest. If they only sell one or the other that may be your answer.
If it's a toss up between 2 shops selling 2 different brands I go with the shop that was the friendliest and stood by their product.
In the end there isn't gonna be 15 fps difference when set up to hunt between the two (depending on what models your comparing).
I'd rather have the brand sold by a shop I know I can rely on.
When things aren't right, they are who you turn to. If they don't want to give you the time of day after the sell you could be stuck in hole fast.
