Default Anyone have the reversible Doghouse by Ameristep?

I just purchased the Ameristep Reversible Doghouse blind, and it has no instructions......I have a question on the TSC windows. I have the leafy side out and the box shows the camo side out with the windows velcroed to the inside. Is there any way I can velcro the windows to the inside if I have the leafy sides out??????? I went to the Ameristep website and it didn't help me at all. Any help would be great!!

I wanted to add, that we did finally get it folded up and put back into the backpack, but we would have never figured it out without the help from mobowhunter, thanks.

I don't have the reversible, but on mine, velcro is attached around the entire window, I would just have to purchase more netting and attach velcro to that.

Why not just stick it to the outside?

BigDaddy,

Does the other side of the netting have velcro? If so, just turn it over. I doubt that it really will make much difference to a deer which side is out. How do you like the blind in general? I have the Brickhouse and would NOT recommend it to anyone. I have had problems with the hubs tearing through the blind material. Once that happens you can't just reattach it.

I have been thinking that the Doghouse would be better because there are not hubs to pull through. Please provide your opinion about set up and take down.

Thanks,

Steve F.

I don't have the reversible doghouse, but I have the old TSC one...on it, they printed directions on an orange tag that is just just inside the carrying case...that way you pull the tag out for safety (because its orange) when you are carrying it on your back, and you always have the directions with you.

they don't do that on the new ones ?

Ya, tha orange tag was there, but it really didnt tell me what I wanted to know. I think on e of the problems with this blind, is that someone purchaced it before me, and then took it back. Thats why there wereno directions for it. And then on the directions for the TSC windows, it tells you to roll them around the cardboard tube so that the plastic on the windows dont rinkle, well, there was no tube iin the box, and the windows were folded up and stuffed ini the box that way, so now you cant see out the window, becausethey are all rinkled. I have not had the chance to hunt out of it, the season here was over when I picked it up. One thin that surprised about, was that it is huge in there, I didnt know they were that big.

aaahh.. I see...yeah that sucks...I hate it whe I get something that someone has taken back and done like that.

Contact Ameristep... I bet they'll send you the directions sheet that comes with the new blinds..I wouldn't doubt if you tell them how the tube was missing & the TSC windows were messed up, that they send you some new ones.

They have instructions for set-up and take-down for all of their blinds on their web site.
