I am faced with a dilemma. I must work Saturday the 13th(ironically the last day of bow in Pa), and most likely my last change to reasonable get a buck. The problem is that due to work and family obligations, I will only have from 12noon to 3pm in the tree stand. Even with the rut in high gear, is it worth the effort to go out at this time?

ps I still have two doe tags for the gun and late seasons.

Nah stay home, save the big bucks for us flat-landers in gun season!

alternative is NOT hunt. nuff said. Get out there and get one of those rut crazed bucks. miday or not they are unpredictable and vulnerable. During the peak rut, IMO 12:00 is as good as early morning or late evening. Best of luck.

They will be running all day. I shot my doe last week, 2:25 and she was being chased by a buck. Its worth it during the rut.
