Default questions about feed the hungry programs

Adams brought up a good point in a different post, i have never checked into a "feed the hungry program" in Illinois, does anyone KNOW where i can get information on these programs, this woudl greatly help especially with a land owner that wants many deer out of the property.

i guess that would be great for someone who has a crop damage type of permit. any information woudl be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

In Iowa they have a link on the Department of Natural Resources website. I would look there. If that doesn't work talk with your local game warden they usually know all about it.

It also looks really good for hunters in general to give back. Cudos to everyone who donates meat to the hungry

It can also open up some prime hunting areas for you.

Daystalker last year I donated a deer to the program through Johns Elgin Meat Market. The only thing though is I thought that you get a certificate yet I didn't get one.I wonder if they actually donated it because I know that they sell vennison jerky and such. That would tick me off if I knew that they proffited from my kill.Bill D>

Here is a like to the FHFH (farmers and hunters feeding the hungry) they have a link to every state.

http://www.fhfh.org/cgi-bin/index.asp

If you end up with meat you don't need or want please donate it. I'm sure there are people who would love to have it.

Edit[:@] not all the state links work[:'(]
