Ditto what DoubleCreek said. Dump the groundblind idea. And yes, your best bet will be those first few days of the season.
I think you should have a decent chance at him since you have been watching him so much. You should have a good idea exactly where he is coming onto the property at. Play the wind right and give it all you got. Good luck!

ps: I hope your area isn't like where I hunt, or that deer won't have a chance if he keeps showing himself. In fact, he'd probably already have been shot by the roadhunters around here.

If you can't kill him with a bow then he certainly doesn't deserve the disrepect of being blasted with a gun from 200 yards

I would definitely go after him with a bow as well. Of course, that may be because I only bow hunt. No rifles, shot gun, pistol or black powder here, but you might just as well give it a shot!!

I don't know about your state hunting regs, but in TX, just because it's gun season does not mean you have to put your bow up. Like someone else said, this is your challenge man, GO FOR IT! I would love to take on that challenge one day. What's good is that alot of the hard part is already done.
1. You've located a monster.
2. You know where and when he's coming from.
3. You know where and when he's going.
Now you've just got to put that arrow in the right spot. You'll be so proud when you do.

I look forward to seeing your pictures of him.

Wolf killer,

I'm new at bowhunting, but I can promise you that I would definately go for it. It's a chance of a life time. Win or loose you will not regret it. Like someone said earlier, "if you can't kill him with your bow, then he does not deserve the disrespect of being shot at 200 yards." I have only 1 favor to ask....that you take your camera and show all of us this monster that you harvest.

Good luck and my prayers are with you!!!!
