Hey gang, i'm too busy to try and figure this right now, just wonderin if anyone up to the challenge .
My Legacy is cranked back up to 68lb draw(max it will do) and i'm shootin different arrows than when i chronied before. When i shot cx300's i got about 288 fps but i'm shootin easton carbon epics now and i know they're heavier, jus wonderin if anyone can figure out the weight of my arrow.

Details;
Easton carbon epics(black finish)
28" bare shaft length
Easton insert that came with arrow
Easton nock that came with arrow
100 grain point
3-4" generic plastic vanes with liberal glue

I know the calculation to get KE but just not the arrow weight, i thought i was gonna land in the 430 grain range(was 376 weighed with the cx300's).

I just shot a quick string thru my chrono which went like this...
1st shot 276.5 fps
2nd shot 275.9 fps
3rd shot 276.6 fps

Any takers?

340's oops, i gots it figured for about 414-416 grains and 70 ft/lbs. I'll get them proper weighed next time i'm at the shop to see how close that is. I thought i'd be nearer 430 grs? At anyrate, sorry for not putting in shaft size.

I shot some of those 340 Epics last year. You should be somewhere around 410 to 415 grains. I shot a 125 grain head with feathers on a 28" shaft and came in around 425 or 430.

I figured you at the 410 grain with all the info you gave , hope it helps but like you said next visit to the archery shop have'm weighed to be accurate .

your arrows 340 Epic weigh 9.0 grains per inch 9.0 x 28" = 252 grains
your nocks weigh 13 grains 13
your point adapter insert weighs 21 grains 21
your broadhead 100
your vanes about 24 grains @ 8.0 x 3 24

410 grains

Now vanes differ in weight from company to company so you need to check your vanes company to see how much they weigh .

example - Bohning 4" vanes weigh 12.1
Easton diamond 4" vanes weigh 8.2
you are real lclose , but have'm weighed . that will put you at 69.37 KE

anyhow, got the arrow weighed at 419 grains, happened to be by the shop, turns into 71.1 ft/lbs...go mathews
