Arrow Speed/Arrow Weight/ Kinetic Energy!!
#1

I was just curious of what everyone is getting as far as weight of their arrows, how fast they are shooting and what they get for Kinetic Energy. List all three if you could. If weight or speed is estimated please say so. If you dont know your kinetic energy go to the link below and at the bottom of the page there is a calculator to figure it out. All you need to know is your arrow weight and speed. Arrow weight should include the weight of the nock, fletches, insert, broadhead/fieldpoint, and bare shaft weight. Oh and could you please state what your draw weight is too. Im just curious of what everyone is getting for results off of their equipment. Thank you for all your inputs.

Here's one to check your calculations and you don't need to join. http://home.att.net/~sajackson/ke.html
(all measured) 381 grain ACC arrow at 305 fps (chrono'd) = 79 ft lbs. of KE out of a 70 lb 28.5" Allegiance.

My Vectrix XL 30"at 63#,shoots my 500gr arrow at 250fps, for 69.5 ft lbs of KE. It kicks a$$.
I turned it down to 58# for hunting in the cold, plenty of punchthough.

My typical osagemeat makersdraw58 to 63#'s @ my 25" draw length, andshoot a 675 grn ash arrow at speeds from 137 to 147 fps. Using the calculator that Rob linked, thatevidently gives 28 to 32 ft-lbs of energy.
