The title says it all, so whats everybodies hunting arrow weight for this upcoming deer season? Trying to get an idea of whether or not people prefer a lighter faster arrow our a heavier arrow with more K.E.

Carbon Express Terminator XP Selects 6075s 28" @ 10.6gpi
125gr 3 blade muzzys
30gr tracer nock
11gr insert
puts me about 460grains for my hunting arrows. speed is about 260fps with a KE of about 69ft/lbs...
i rather hit them with something heavy than something light. light and fast dont do much for me...

475 grains total weight for me. I was shooting 400 grains at 300 FPS, but opted for 475 at 270 fps. Actually, there was only a VERY slight increase in KE... not enough to matter. Trajectory didn't change much at all, and my bow became MUCH more quiet. I'm sold on a heavier arrow.

Good answer, I am going to hunt this year with 200 grain Muzzy Phantoms giving me a FOC about 21 %... I shoot 3D with a 430 grain, more stable in flight.
