I watch the nuges' show every week but I'm not that crazy about the exotics. I like his reactions, they crack me up. My wife thinks he is an idiot, but she's not really into the hunting thing.

Yes his show is a waste. So what your saying is you can't feel the spirit, can't you feel it? Just be glad you posted your thoughts here if you tried to post on his site you be called a troll and your post would last 30 seconds.

Your wife is a smart women. When my son was ten he asked me who the idiot was about 5 minutes into the show.

Actually, some of the best shows that dont push any of the gear or this lodge or that and one that actually hunts 100% fair chase is away outdoors, theyare two of the most down to earth guys i have meet, no ego there, i like the durry boys the old stuff was best for sure, mike waddel (sp) is a good show too but i know for sure away is 100% fair chase and they ,ake a great deer call

i watch the nuge sometimes--everyone has got a different out look on the aspect of hunting. now the spirit i dont know most of his shows are not really showing the hunt and the kill. there is really nothing educational about it in the way of harvesting or ideas and info to learn from. to each his own and ted has that right and has made plenty of money, at least he kills and eats the animals he harvested or donates them to a good cause instead of so many that kill and mame and let them lay. poachers just pisssssss me off. but any way he is a little radical at times but he has plenty of followers and he does preach the right to bear arms and our right to hunt! ps---i would definetly like to hunt with his wife[:-]

do we really have to have all hunting shows about teaching the hows and whys? cant we just watch a show for its entertainment value. like we really get something out of watching real tree or primos. TEDS show is just that! entertainment [&:] i will continue to watch all of the shows and support hunting in any way i can. a topic like this is just what we dont need. it just comes across wrong. sounds like another beat up session[:@] if i see another troll bring up roadtrips again im gonna puke. [:'(]

I grew up listening to Ted and occasionally watch his show , but is he so stuck on himself that we have to watch footage of him in concert all the time or is it that he is trying to fill up a half hour (make that 15 minutes after commercials are subtracted) and just does not have enough quality hunting footage. I cant speak for the rest of us, but would much rather watch a hunter quietly waiting in a stand than to have concert footage slammed in my face. Also I would prefer turkey, pheasant and even squirrel hunting over the exotic crap.
Thanks
BD

Recently, Ted's shows are starting to show the exotics...but his videos always have included these it is nothing new. "Archer's Africa" and "Down to Earth" are good examples. The first few Spirit of the Wild videos are actually very informative and enjoyable to watch (SOTW 1, 2, 3, & 4), 2 shows very little to no hunting at all. Yes, Ted can get very "religious" if you will...but he is taking a very different approach to the act of videoed hunting. However, there are many in my neck of the woods that are very ANTI-HUNTING and his approach is much more defendable than the other videos out there.

Goldtip

Speaking of poachers - I read in todays paper where the legislator of a certain county here in Big Wonderful has introduced legislation to make any poaching offense a FELONY!!! which means loss of ALL hunting opportunity for life. Now if we could get the law passed and have each state fall in line we could possibly curb the "11 ELK SLAUGHTERED OUT OF SEASON" headlines we read every year.
