I'm pretty solid with my recurve to about 25 yards but I guess the reason it doesn't make it into the mountains with me is because I have this nightmare of a 420 bull elk (ala Chuck Adams) stepping out at 35 yards and me being able to do nothing but stab myself with an arrow after he walks off........
