Default Good Hanging Treestand

I was just wondering what an affordable hanging treestand you guys would suggest would be. I am 230 pounds and would probably be in the stand for a while, so a semi comfortable stand would be nice, but I don't need to be sleeping or anything.

You seem to be a perfect candidate for the Gorrilla King Kong. I'm nowhere near your size but this stand would handle you with no problem. The best part is the big seat which I believe is abvout 12 X 18 or somewhere in that range. The regular King Kong weighs like 21 lbs. but you can also get it in the Silverback series which is alluminum and weighs I believe 12 lbs. The silverback is around $120 and the regular steel is about $20 cheaper.

I got a few rivers edge, cheap but are heavy, I leave them up all season
long and only sit in them for about 3 hrs at a time, about 50 bucks.

Quit teasing yourselves and go and buy a climber (Summit Viper), they are extremely easy to use and you'll never want a hang-on ever again! My big 'ole' butt weighs 270 pounds and they hold my @$$!

I agree with SKIDMARK, you can't go wrong with a Gorilla King Kong. A very comfortable seat, very comfortable price!

I would if I could, but there are practically no trees that you could use a climber on around here. unless you want to hunt 6 feet off the ground, there are too many branches to deal with.

I would have too agree with SKIDMARK too, the Gorilla King Kong is a very comfortable stand.
I use one myself.

it looks like a very nice stand. what are some things you can do to make sure they they can't steal the stand from your tree
because it looks like I will probably buy 2 of these and leave them up through out the season. I know the guy that I will be asking permission to hunt his land pretty well, but that doesn't say somebody won't just trespass and see the stand.
