i've been seeing absolutley no deer where i live and hunt but i have been seeing lots of turkey my question is i've been kind of a lazy hunter this year i have a place behind my house that goes down a bluff with a creek running through the botton of if and its about 15 acres of woods with cut corn fields on 2 sides and on the other side is about a 10 to 15 acre field that is grown up so bad that you couldn't no way walk through it and in the past i have hunted down there but not a lot and usually don't see anything except a doe or 2 every now and then do you guys think this could be a good hiding spot for bucks cause usually i'll see deer every where else at my spot but now i'm seeing nothing and the reason i've not been trying the bottom part is because i've been lazy and not wanting to walk all the way down the bluff so tell me what do you guys think all your help is highly appreciate hunting season is coming to a end and i would like to get a big buck i've killed a small one but i'm after a monster.thanks alot

tip 1
to kill a monster there has to be one where you are hunting. have you seen him, or sign of a big one on there. thats a good start. second, if there is one, then read the sign, where is he going to, coming from, eating, etc. third, when have you seen him, morning, or late afternoon. answer these and adjust your setup accordingly.

thats where i would start.

Seems to me you alreadly know the answer. Your not seeing deer in your usual spots, which seems to be quite common this season. You've been lazy on heading into the bluff. I'd say try the bluff at the very least it'll allow you to at least check it out, to see if the deer are down there. My other guess is the brushy area. Maybe you can hunt the outskirts of it if haven't alreadly.

well to be honest i haven't seen a really big one this year at this spot but i have seen some in the past and the guy that hunts on the property next to me says he has seen a big one but he could just be telling me that too.and also the part of the woods i would be hunting will put me about 75 to 100 yards from the brushy field maybe i need to quite beeing lazy and try it out.

Actually, big bucks can be anywhere, but if that stuff is as thick as you say it is and its not been hunted much, there is a very good chance of a nice buck being in there. Have you scouted the surrounding area for large tracks, rubs, or scrapes? Remember........many nice bucks are taken because of a hunter being told of where one is.
