Have some fun with him! Use your stand and push his so it' s about 10 feet high then nail a " private property no tresspassing" sign to the tree where his stand was at.

I still wouldn' t take the stand regardless of what your plans are for it. You are still taking it. But to each his own. As far as the spot being a honeyhole...You say the neighbor is a big ANTI and this guy is hunting right on the border in your honeyhole. If I were you, I would really worry about shooting a deer in that spot for fear that it will run onto the anti' s property with no hope of recovery. I hope you have that base covered.

Hey Magnet...good luck on the last couple of days here in PA. I don' t have one either. YET!!! Gotta hunt hard and stay all day the next couple days. Indiana county is a fine area so you should be alright. Try not to get too bugged by the tresspasser. Good luck to you again and I hope things work out for the best. Jim

I would do what the cops do in Jersey City when you are illegally parked, they put the boot on the tire and a notice to call them on the windshield.

I would lock it up with chain and lock. Than place a note that states you are trasspassing and if you would like your tree stand unlocked, please call (place your numer here). Take a picture also. This way you are not taking what is not yours, only making it difficult for him to retreive it.

This way he would think twice about hunting there again.

I definitely think you are doing the right thing in talking to the landowner first. If the guy does not have permission then ask the landowner if it is ok if you take the treestand and keep it at his place of residence. That way it is not as if you are stealing it or keeping it for your own personal use but rather just policing the property.

On another note, definitely give the Summit Revolution a whirl. I had the opportunity to get one this past year and I love it for hunting over extended periods of time. It is so comfortable.
