Default "Honey Hole"

this week I went to a new spot that hasen't been hunted since last year in Nov. saw a lot of sign. rubs,BIG rubs, and scraps lots of scraps.looked really good to me.
so the wife and I went sat morning.at light I saw a doe and button buck, then heard another deer coming.horns.
at 15 to 20 after first light I took this one.

then Sunday the wife missed one. .

Monday morning same tree same time same doe and button, then about 20 to 30 min I saw and took this one.

Monday night the wife took a fine hog.

we took Tue and Wed. to grind sasuage and venison burger and smoke the sasuage.

then thursday we didn't see anything.today we went and I sat on a scrap line and at first light I hear grunting getting closer and closer , then this guy came out and ended my B/P season. 141 lbs. 15" spread.

can you say "HONEY HOLE" and a great week for us in the great state of Florida.. "

That's great you got deer and everything but if you wanted to fill the freezer why take that non trophy buck when there were does arround. I bet that 4 point would have maybe grown to be a fine deer, but now we'll never know. Sorry to be a parade rainer but I believe strongly in QDM.

because usually that all we get to see in and around my area. we only have small areas to hunt and across the fense , if its brown it's down.theres no QDM in north central Fl.
as for the does, we do take a few for the meat if we don't get a buck.some years we do good and others we only take one buck and a few does.
I know what you are talking about, just can't do it that way.

yea they were all taken around my area of Chiefland.the bigger one was only 3 min. from the house.

I shoot a CVA mag-bolt in 45 cal.
2 , 50 grain pyrodex pellets and 225 gr. powerbelt hollow point.
