Default My honey hole

Ok , This is where i work .
Honey hole and work do not always go into the same sentence , but after this weekend .. they do .

MY SUNDAYAT WORK
I had to go into work on sunday to finish an order off ( double time , you know how it is ) , anyway after 4 hours i decided for the first time in 5yrs to go have my dinner down by the river . To get to the river i have to come through the factory and out the back door to the walkway , which takes you around to the riverside ( which is overgrown ) .
As i made my way through the grass and reeds i noticed movement up river ( 80yds or so ) , their i noticed 3 Red deer Doe's . I froze and they froze , we strared each other out for what seemed like 5minutes without moving ( my heart was hammering way , it was awesome ). Temptation got the better of me and i wanted a picture with my phone , as i reached in my pocket they slowly started to move away . Before i could get my camera workin they had blended in with the foliage and lost sight of them . They will come back and i will be seeking permission to scout and film them , so pictures will be coming soon . But for now , here is a couple of where i work .
Oh i forgot , the river i noticed is loaded with brownies and i will be fishing them too .

Arrow marks where i saw them .

This is close up of where they were stood feeding .

This is the view down from where i saw the deer and where i will be fishing the trout .

Sorry about the quality of pictures , camera phones ain't the best .

I cannot wait to get the film rolling in this area now and i promise pictures of the deer and fish soon .

Yeah thats right Droptine , a brownie is short for brown trout . they are real good fighters , even the small ones .
As for the Red deer , in England there are small pockets of red deer roaming around and these i'm thinking are part of a bigger herd which i have seen on my uncles ground 7 miles further away in the hillyopen farmlandarea . They seem to have started there own herd , as i was told there have been 3 stags and more doe's seen a little further up the river .

Will keep updated

Hi BigJ
They own part of the area , but not sure how much . There is a meadow futher behind the treeline which they own near the trailer park , but a path runs nearby . So it will be hard to get permission , but cannot harm asking .
I will also be asking the local farmer who owns a lot of the other fields , i don't think they have been shot at before ... as they were in no rush to get away .

Yep, it can't hurt to ask......Sounds like you're getting your "ducks in a row" for the hunting season. I wish you all the luck bud!

Remember to post pics when the time comes.
