Default Stand approach - which one better?

Buddy of mine can’t hunt this season; he told me that he put up his stand 2 weeks ago.
He gave me copy of his topo map and GPS co-ordinates.
The stand is located on the edge of dried up creek – which looks like the main animal highway (he even saw black bear scat) trough very dense hardwoods.
This “highway” is going from northwest to southeast, prevailing wind is northwest or north.
The only way to get to his stand is from the north EITHER walking quietly on soft grass on old creek bottom trying to leave as little scent as possible OR walk around trough dense bush making a lot of noise but without contaminating the trail.
Which option would you take?

I' d use the soft grass and creek bottom using foot pads with a scent called trailmaker by www.bobkirschnerdeerlure.com

Unless the wind changes I would suggest staying in the dried up creek bed and also if it were me, I' d slip in a little earlier than normal in order to let the woods calm back down. Just make sure you take extra care with your scent control.
I wouldn' t take any round-about way in to the stand that would cause excess noise, that would be defeating the purpose. Just stay in the creek bed and move slow, you should be o.k. Of course, the best scenerio would be waiting untill the wind changes to a southerly direction but if you can' t wait stay low, move slow, and go early.
