Stand approach - which one better?
Buddy of mine can’t hunt this season; he told me that he put up his stand 2 weeks ago.
He gave me copy of his topo map and GPS co-ordinates.
The stand is located on the edge of dried up creek – which looks like the main animal highway (he even saw black bear scat) trough very dense hardwoods.
This “highway” is going from northwest to southeast, prevailing wind is northwest or north.
The only way to get to his stand is from the north EITHER walking quietly on soft grass on old creek bottom trying to leave as little scent as possible OR walk around trough dense bush making a lot of noise but without contaminating the trail.
Which option would you take?
