Default Sharpening Broadheads

What is the best wayto charpen broadhead blades? or do you just get new blades?

If they are replaceable blade heads just buy replacement blades. If they are a two blade design, like a magnus, they sell sharpening kits with files and stones at pre-set angles to get the correct edge on them.

If my blades aren' t bent or dinged I use a small diamond hone to sharpen them. If it' s done with care you can get them scary sharp with a little work. I always test them for sharpness when I' m done & they get real sharp.

I use 100 gr Thunderheads with replaceable blades. Their tech expert told me it is scientifically impossible to get them any sharper. So I just replace them. I use the ones I replace for practice.

Replace the dull blades with new, factory sharp blades. Use the dull ones for practice.

I shoot one piece, fixed blade heads and use just a file to get them shaving sharp. Here' s a link to an article that gives a good " how-to" .
