I shoot the Nap Hellrazors, and I was just wondering what the best thing anyone has found to sharpen a fixed blade broadhead. It would be pointless to buy new broadheads if you can sharpen these, but does in hurt the broadheads in any way? Just looking for some suggestions.

Lay it flat with two edges downon a sharpening stone. Push and flip, push and flip, push and flip. You just sharpened all six edges of the three blades. Do one push for each side and flip until it is sharp.


BTW, you can use a diamond stone, Arkansas stone, fine file, ultra find sand paper, etc... etc... PersonallyI would use either a diamond stone or Arkansas stone, no need to get elaborate since these have been sharpening blades for years and years.

I use a file and hold the head in my head. Gently push the file from the back to the front with only slight pressure. turn the head and repeat, turn and repeat again. Useually 3 strokes per side and a little stoping on a peice of leather will get the job done. It's a lot faster than a stone and much easier in my opinion.

I've been using the KME broadhead sharpener, cost a few more $ compared to a file, sandpaper, etc, but it's a life time tool and it works EXCELLENT!

Alright, thanks guys. I just went with a diamond sharpener because its inexpensive and i just dont really see the point in paying big money for a sharpener when i just can just buy a new pack of broadheads. Sharpened them up though, and it seemed to work really well. Thanks for your imput

G5 makes a broadhead sharpening tool that does work!!

I use a file and Accu-Sharp.
