Just out of curiosity what customizations are your doing to it??

Don't Blame me!

Seriously, my 60# 82nd has impressed me so completely that I am in the process of customizing a second one. I hope to have it ready to rumble soon.
Good Luck Dan!! I think you too (as many are) will be impressed with all the 82nd is.

I did look at the General; I love the way it shoots. Big downside for me is the speed, or lack of it I should say. Shooting a 425.1grain arrow at 251 just wasn't cutting it for me.
Dan (MeanV) talked me into shooting the 82nd at 60# today and I was impressed. I hated the way the 70# felt, but when I drew it back at 60# I fell in love... Well, after watching 297fps flash across the chronograph. The draw cycle took a little adjusting to, but I think I've settled on the 82nd set at 60# for this year. [&:]

Ahhhhhhhhhh Grasshopper, when you learn the value of "to thine own self be true", you won't have to be asking these stupid questions. No way should this decision be made based on what a bunch of prejudice folks have to say. You should have already made up you mind before you started this thead. No way in hell would I come to a message board to make this decision. Make the choice and be done with it. You already know the answer, assuming every thing was tested on a level playing field with draw length, string silencers, etc etc etc.

Washington Hunter: I wish I would have had pro shops like yours when I was shopping for a bow. I always felt rushed. At one shop I had to borrow arrows from a customer to test shoot a bow!

so what were the original 2 choices? and are you 100% on hte 82nd?
Probably couldn't go wrong with any of the ones on your list. That is what's great about buying bows these days, lots a good ones.

Shoot whichever one you are more comfortable with. I know its the off season and we are all board, but lets take a step back and look at this objectively. Either one of those set ups will blow through a deer 9 times out of 10. Good luck on whichever one you decide on.
