I need (want) a new gun and I can’t make up my mind which one I should buy. So here are the ones that I have in mind:

Choice 1: Browning A-Bolt White Gold Medallion in 30-06.
Choice 2: Winchester Model 70 Classic, Featherweight, Stainless in 30-06
Choice 3: Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in 280

I will be using the gun for deer, antelope, and maybe elk. All and any help would be really appreciated.

Just found this out that my Uncle got a 7mm STW and that thing kicks some A$$ big time. NOW I am thinking of one. Really liked it today when we we're out and about. Don't know much about it so ALL info would be nice. What does STW stand for?

Easy, the Model 70. Made in USA, accurate,proven reliable,and less money.

Personally I don't care for either, but if I had to pick the less of two evils I would go with the Winchester.

Well, since Browning now owns Winchester, is there much difference? I know theres hardly any IF any difference b/t the shot guns.

My vote: Featherweight, Stainless in 30-06

Buy the Stainless Stalker in 280. I don't think you will be sorry. Federal has brought out several new loads for the 280 in their Premium Ammo line that includes the 140 & 160 gr. Accubonds.
