Help make up my mind...

I did look at the General; I love the way it shoots. Big downside for me is the speed, or lack of it I should say. Shooting a 425.1grain arrow at 251 just wasn't cutting it for me.
Dan (MeanV) talked me into shooting the 82nd at 60# today and I was impressed. I hated the way the 70# felt, but when I drew it back at 60# I fell in love... Well, after watching 297fps flash across the chronograph. The draw cycle took a little adjusting to, but I think I've settled on the 82nd set at 60# for this year. [&:]

Seriously, my 60# 82nd has impressed me so completely that I am in the process of customizing a second one. I hope to have it ready to rumble soon.
Good Luck Dan!! I think you too (as many are) will be impressed with all the 82nd is.

Thats what i was going to say. You can go down to 60 but still have the 70 option when needed.

I'd go with the 70#....BECAUSE, can't you always crank down the poundage if needed?

Unless your hunitng Fuffalos I would go with the 60 pounder, for the soul purpose of a flatter trajectory, your still gonna have more than enough to down any sized white-tail.

Hopefully whitetail won't even make my list this year, bud! I'm hoping to take a nice muley in September and not have to worry about deer around here.
Dan, I completely blame you. The 82nd wasn't even on my radar as an option until last night.

like I said it always pays to look at all your options, and shoot them at the weight and draw length you need.Shooting any bow at a weight or draw length different than what you will be shooting is not giving the bow a fair chance. I'm afraid many make that mistake when they stop by the Pro Shop and just shoot one off the rack

Keep me informed how it goes Dan.
P.S. Good Luck on that Muley!!

Ahhhhhhhhhh Grasshopper, when you learn the value of "to thine own self be true", you won't have to be asking these stupid questions. No way should this decision be made based on what a bunch of prejudice folks have to say. You should have already made up you mind before you started this thead. No way in hell would I come to a message board to make this decision. Make the choice and be done with it. You already know the answer, assuming every thing was tested on a level playing field with draw length, string silencers, etc etc etc.
