Help make up my mind...

Actual speeds (hottest speeds from each set up, keeping my optimism), I've spent the last few days shooting them through the chrono with different arrow/weight combinations.
I'm leaning towards the 60# with something like a Stinger or Hell Razor on the end... COC with 60+lbs of KE should get the job done at 40 yards?

Leave the numbers out of the equation,in the end, that is all they are, just numbers.
Shoot the bow that you prefer at whatever poundage you prefer, regardless,of the numbers.

didn't u just get an Ally last yr? Just out of curiosity, why R U looking to get into a new rig?
As for #, I'd go w/the 70. I assume you can turn down the 70# bow? IF so U get the best of both worlds. Besides, u stated that u hunt out west @ longer ranges, there's your answer.

Dan, One thing you wanna remember is 60# is 60# and 70# is 70#. Sure on a bow putting out a little more speed you may have to pull the poundage a little quicker and pull a little longer but it is still only what the scale says it is.
I will be Hunting with a 60# Bow this year that is producing over 70# KE. To me that is amazing from what was possible only a few short years ago. I intend to use it to it's full advantage.
The last thing I consider in a Bow purchase is what the draw feels like, as long as the valley feels good to me.Anything different is going to feel weird. The Draw cycle is something your body accustoms itself to really quick. As long as you are not over Bowed on poundage
I know you know all this, just a reminder

I got rid of the Allegiance earlier this year.
I traded for a Hoyt Trykon.
For whatever reason, I'm no where near as confident with the Trykon at this point this year as I was with my Allegiance at this point last year.
Lesson learned, moving on.

Yeah, if those are actual speeds, it's a no brainer IMO. Get the 60.

I keep flashing back to last winter though, hunting with my 70# Allegiance. 6 degrees, snow falling, tried drawing my bow to warm the muscles up after sitting for a couple hours... Couldn't do it, life lesson learned. What's comfortable indoors and in the early season is a biiit more difficult when you're an ice cube.
Reason I like these bows is because I know I'll be able to draw both at peak weight no matter the weather/temperature.
Am I hanging myself up and stupid stuff here or am I being logical?

IMHO I think anyone that can't pull their Bow back under any and allconditions is over Bowed and should go down in drawweight.
I have hunted with 90#, 80#, and 70# bows I just don't really see the need when I canpump out over 70# KE from a bow that draws only 60#and iseasy topull.
Speed/KE is an advantage in Hunting. You just don't want to get so consumed chasing it that you over Bow yourself.

Myself personally, I would go with the 60lbs. I can pull probably 75, but do not see the need. What I look for is how comfortable am I going to be on "Any" shot that presents itself.
