Drinking Fridays nights and going out Saturday morning, what a waste of time and money.

I agree 100%. How about not sleeping, hanging around a camp fire then going out to your stand duringthe rut. Does busting me 100 yards away and bucks running right under my stand. Just goes to show you that their minds are somewhere else. Needless to say I got my hangover around noon.ORIGINAL: MdDave

My biggest regret is when I gut shot an 8 point and didnt let it go for hours or overnight. I was too in-experienced to know any better. I came to this board about a year after that and learned to let them go. Now I know not to ever make that mistake again. Also not to wear and arm-guard so the string caught it and made me jerk a little to the right, hence the reason for the gut shot. Live and learn. Sickened but more wiser.

I wish I would of had kids at a younger age to enjoy more years afield with them.

My biggest regrets come when I don't slow down and enjoy every hunt. I want to enjoy the time I have in the woods each hunt, sucking everything in and making it special each time, without worrying about things I have no control over. I want to be "in the zone" when I hunt, fully immersed into what I am doing.

Accidentally shooting a button buck... that is my only regret.
