I have and it definitely is a challenge. Certain conditions can make it much easier

I have and I blew the shot about as bad as humanly possible!

It was a long time ago, maybe 1987?.......a nice doe feeding on the shoulder of an abondoned blacktop road. I slipped and crawled along the grass closing the distance from 100yds or so down to 25. I felt like a ninja............until I crouched under the low hanging pine limb to make the shot and didn't calculate for the arc of the arrow that my Bear Whitetail was lobbing.

I shot right up into the limbs which kicked the arrow onto the blacktop where it promptly skidded and skipped acrosshugging the ground andstuck her smack in the back hoof. She went about 20 ft straight up.

Technique was pretty good anyway.

I think the arrow actually shot sparks on the way to the deer.......
I remember sitting there thinking: "Wellthere's something you don't see everyday"

It's been a hectic day, but I couldn't help laughing when I read that.

I was thinking!

Now there's a road that nailed it
