Default spot and stalk tips

Well I went out hunting yesturday and had a hard time getting the sneek on some deer. In southeastern Idaho, wegot a freak storm and had a good amount of snow on the ground. Tracking wasn't a problem it was beening so noisy. (a note to all who wish to be smack talkers, I did get into deer fours times in two hours yesturday)

So, my question is what kind of tips could you give to a newbie about stalking deer in the snow?

Default RE: spot and stalk tips

Well whenever you try to track/stalk a deer, you have to be VERY quiet.[:-] If you are trying to "spot and stalk" a deer, you first have to find a deer. I imagine you are bow hunting so you maywant to buy something that you can pull over your bootsto muffle their sound. I forgot the names of what the are called exactly, but I think it wascalled something like "Bear'sshoes". I don't know for sure, just get something to muffle the sound of your bootsbreaking twigs and leaves. When you "stalk" the deer, you should take a few steps, stop, take a few steps stop, and repeat this until you get close enough to kill the deer. Ideally, the deer's head should be behind a tree, or looking away from you before you walk toward it. I hope this helps some...
