Rob:

You and I are friends....but that won't stop (never has) me from having a dissenting view on things. MY issue back when I first started having trouble with my loops was....."IF" it's a problem.....and Bowtech knows it......WHY don't they send out a memo to their dealers and just maybe it would have saved me $15 worth of loops; several gallons of gas...and a truckload of heartache.

So....if Ya'll wanna say "I told you so". Fine. How about telling all the bowtech dealers.

And I have no idea who the person is in the classifieds.....but she sure gets a lot of "air" time from some of you guys. I ordered mine from Lancaster and got it in 2 days. I think it was less than $1/foot. How much can you beat that by???[8D]

I've been having the EXACT issue w/ the loop on my Vectrix Plus as well, Jeff. I just ordered, Sunday, 2 packs of BCY material from her myself, hoping it would solve the issue. Sounds like it's going to.

I'm really beginning to NOT be a fan of that camo braided crap......[:@]
Doesn't sound like a Bowtech problem to me. It sounds like faulty D-Loop material problems. Lots of choices, BCY is the best!

Then why defend it? I was more than willing to let it go as a "friendly reminder", but we'll keep discussing it if you'd like.

Do you think the string suppressor (where it's located.....the mere fact that it's on there) has anything to do with compounding the "issue"? It makes sense, to me....that it might spin when it hits that stop going the speed it's going.

By all means....let's keep thisat the forefront. I love the bow. Hate the "issue".

If BCY material is the (only) solution....don't you think you owe it to the dealers and your customers to at least tell them?

I agree with GMMAT, if it happens on ALL 82nds, why not let the public (buyers) know?

Because it doesn't happen on all 82nds. I set up three before leaving Sportsman's and used the camo d-loop material we were provided by the store. Zero had the issue he's describing.

I'm not trying to downplay your issue at all, Jeff. It would suck to have to deal with it, but it isn't a Bowtech specific issue. A d-loop can spin on any bow, not just the 82nds or Bowtechs in particular and it doesn't do it with all of them.

Dan:

How long after you set them up did you leave? I didn't have any issues with mine until I shot it a bunch.

OK....I've only owned 6 bows. Of those 6......I've had to replace a string loop on ......none of them. This is the fifth one on THIS bow. My Ally had thousands of shots through it. The Switchback....ditto. What's the common denominator? String stop.

If you own one of these bows.....just take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. If you don't......great! No issue (even "potential") for you.

So Dan....you just tie awesome D-loops?

Do any of you guys wax your d-loop material before tying it?? I'm thinking maybe that would hold it more secure?

I wonder what it is about that stuff that won't allow it to cynch down tight enough to keep from spinning.???

I agree, it's not a Bowtech issue at all, and while I understand your point that it would save customers some aggravation, can they really spend the money to prevent folks from using it? And, are there any legal ramifications in doing so?? I honestly don't know, just thinking out loud.

Hey, if the maker of that camo braided crap happens to read this, your stuff STINKS!!!!!

I honestly can't remember for sure, Jeff. My best guess would be a little over a month. In that time we had one that never left the shelf, our display bow... I can say for surethat I alone shot that bow a couple hundred times from the time we got it and I set it up to when I left...

I don't know if its awesome loops or if maybe we got a better quality camo d-loop material? In any case, unless the issue starts springing up with a good portion of the 82nds on the market, it isn't Bowtech's responsibility to inform its customer base/dealers.

I did. I waxed the serving really good before I tied it (loop), too.

I wonder what it is about that stuff that won't allow it to cynch down tight enough to keep from spinning.???
I also think (and I've had this thought reinforced by a board member who is a techno head in archery) that the serving material on the 82nds is "slicker" than most. It's almost like monofilament feeling.

I agree, it's not a Bowtech issue at all, and while I understand your point that it would save customers some aggravation, can they really spend the money to prevent folks from using it? And, are there any legal ramifications in doing so?? I honestly don't know, just thinking out loud.
How about a simple phone call to the dealers.....if you know how to stop something from happening? Legal?? Howd we ever get to there????????

I'm not claiming Bowtech has an "issue". I'm trying to find out IF they have an issue.

It is awesome to be a part of greatness.
I have absolutely no idea what that's supposed to mean.
