Default Spot and Stalk all the way to paydirt...almost

Well this afternoon, I made myself go out to the woods, after the miss this morning, I just wanted to get back at it. I didn't really feel like sitting my stand so i went to my spot and stalk spot. The place where I killed my doe earlier in the year. I got settled in late, about 5:50. I set up on the ground on the edge of the woods waiting for the deer to come out and put a stalk on. Well it was 645 and nothing popped out yet, so I decided to make something happen. I was circling back around and I spotted some in the fencerow, 150yds out. I eased back inside the woods and made a big loop around, almost just like I did 2 weeks ago. I get over there in the fencerow, and I'm easing down it. I get to where they should be, ease over the hill and they are alll the way across the field where I just came. No dice. Just bad luck, sometimes they feed across but most of the time the feed right down the fencerow. Got to see 5 in total. Pretty exciting.

Here's a picture I took while sitting on the field edge waiting for them to come out. Not the best quality because it was with me phone.

Beautiful picture there C09, keep at it, that was still an exciting hunt and good excercise in the woods.
