Forget the wind, just hunt?

The mythbusters did a show using scentblocker type clothing and the dogs followed the trail easily. I belive they used elimitrax as well. Couldn't fool the dogs.
Sometimes you can forget the wind and just hunt so to speak. I don't think it has anything to do with what clothing or scent blocker type spray you are using. I think that sometimes, the deer just don't care.
I have had many a deer come in from straight downwind of me, no scnentlock, no sprays, and just keep right on coming and go right past. Have also had deer blowing at me downwind in the timber from a couple hundred yards away using all of the latest and greatest in the spraydown products. I have never used the scentblocker clothes but personally don't think they would make any difference to the deer.
I use the sprays and clothes wash products, gives me more confidence. I truly don't think they don't do much but make me feel better. Sometimes the deer care, sometimes they don't. The best scentblocker is, and always has been, hunting the wind.

I do pay attention to the wind when I have a good idea of where the deer will come from. But I hunt a lot of stands where the deer can and do come in from any direction. In those cases I try to remain as scent free as possible and hope for the best.
During the rut all bets are off trying to predict what direction they will come in from. I have a couple of places I hunt mostly during the rut and with any wind. I have had them run circles around me at times and not know I was there, or didn't care.
