Why hunting whitetail is a good thing
I just read a good article that will help give you some fuel the next time you hear someone say "Why would you kill a poor little deer"

Well, that article is not exactly what I thought it would be..I was thinking more of economic by how much a pound of deer meatcost us hunters...I killed a 100 pound doe last weekend, and was figuring gas, money for camp, supplies, and processing fees and I figured that deer is costing me about 5 dollars per pound...but the joy of hunting is worth that money even If I dont kill anything...on the other hand ...more deer killed drives that price per pound down..

Pretty good article. I just wish some of these orginizations that want to get rid of hunting that what we do actually help the environment. What hurts us as hunters are poachers and such. These self proclaimed "outdoorsman" ruin the true hunters reputations. It is just a shame that so many people see this sport with a negative view.
