Here in the good state of Ohio, the rut is finally starting. November 1st is always a day I try to hunt no matter what. Going out this morning, and it looks to be a great morning for deer hunting. Should be about 35 degree's and little wind. My dad and I have a few bucks that we'd like to take, so we'll see what happens the rest of the season.

Yep, same way here in Arkansas. Suppose to be colder at night the next few days so I'll be out every day starting this morning. Hopefully I'll see a bit more action than I have been. Been seeing bucks on the trail cams but none during the day for over a week.

I can't hunt today. Bow season closed on Sunday and General season begins on Saturday. The deer have a few days off. I'll be out with bow in hand Saturday AM. I may not pick up a gun this year.

I agree...the rut is starting here in NY. Yesterday on the way to work at 7am I had two bucks just standing in the center of the road squaring off. Their necks were so swollen. I thought about taking them both, but my subaru is too new to start schalacking deer with it.
