Luckily most snakes here in MO are not nocturnal, but that is also because we only have 5 venomous snake species.

My son andI killed a rattler today while goat hunting and last year when we where coming out at dark my son just about stepped on a rattler. Yes you have to be aware in Mt.. This time of year they get more active with temp. andthe change of the season.
