I have a pair of Simms Gore-tex waders. It's like wearing a pair of slacks to fish in, buy em roomy enough for some fleece underneath. Oh yeah stocking foot with separate Boots with felt soles! Even when cold neoprene will make you sweat and they stink inside!

Hillbilly andBowtech I thank you for your experienced replies. Hillbilly, I don't know why it is, but the Bass Pro shop near me has the 3 layered ones you showed for sale at somewhere in the $200s. The 5 layered were $400 plus. Sounds like that the place to get them. Their catalog only shows the $400 Simms. I have acouple places in NY where these chest wader will even come in handy for deer hunting. Thanks a lot.

I'm late on this one, but my.02 is if your gonna do any amount of walking don't get the boot foot. I also wouldn't skimp on the actual boot. Try em on with 2 pair socks and the neoprene booty. For cold weather, neoprene is great, if these are for multi season use get breathables. You don't want to hike anywhere in summer with neoprenes on, you'll be as wet from sweat as would be if you fell in. Use rock guards, the neoprene booty cna wear quckly with sand or gravel in your boots.
