jamie,, I had the same trouble out of two of the Stealthcams I tried, it took four tries to get one to work, and it only worked for 6 months, so I took it back and got my money back. Wally world has a Moultrie digital now for 100 bucks and some people say they are ok for the price, they do have a decent trigger time, better then the Leaf River, but the pics dont look to be the best, but for generel scouting, and being on a budget, Id say it would be ok. Dont know of the battery life though, let us know how it works.

We had very simular problems with that camera when we first got them. They are picky about how you load the film. There is instructions on how to do it and if you don't follow them closely then it will not rewind or even take pics correctly.
After we started loading them correctly we had no more problems we got 3 of them and they have worked great.

I cant believe how everyone complains about these cameras, I have had 2 of them now, ( lost one when my hunting area flooded) and I have not had any trouble with them, and I think for the money, they take great pictures.

I think the Stealth 35mm is a very touchy camera. If you are not precise in following the directions, and loading the film JUST right, it won't work.I also think there are a bunch of them out there that are lemons!
I had 1 that was a lemon, but my other 3 have all worked just fine more or less. Sure, I've had an occasional lost roll of film from not advancing correctly, or from me not rewinding it all the way, but all in all, I have been very happy with them, considering the price.

THAT BEING SAID,
I will never buy a Stealth again, and it is ONLY digital cameras from now on!
Within 1 year, I will have saved the money on not buying batteries every 10 days, film, plus film processing; and it will have more than made up for the extra price the digital cost.
Also...INVEST in rechargable batteries ...they will pay for themselves within 3 months usually!
