Default update..after a frustrating day

you guys seen the post after i got the blazers. the broadheads were still flying off. silly me i decide to lower the draw weight a turn and a half. figured they should walk back towards the fieldpoints if my spine was bad. didnt help at all. i didnt like the feel of it that low so cranked them back a turn and a half. then i messed with the rest a little. then put it back. then had it back to original settings and the FIELDPOINTS were hitting RIGHT. i couldnt fix it. my rest was exzactly where it was(hard to mess it up when its maxed out LEFT away from the riser) so i went to the shop. told them whats goin on..and i think the tune is messed up. he looked at the setup and about choked! "what the heck? you sights are a mile right..your rest is a mile left!" hes like no problem we can fix this. he sent everything where it needed to be. sights, rest, knock, peep, loop. paper tuned it. PERFECT tear. he dialed me in a tad high at 20yds with my top pin. sent me on my way for 10$ because his boss was there.

heres the results. i swear on my life this is a measured 35yds from my target. you guys know i wouldnt lie.

and for those that want to know how the broadheads are flying...i must say much better. a littttle off but atleast now i can adjust the SIGHTS to compensate and leave everything alone.

this is 20yds..

for the none believers...

yes i shoot with the same head...i cant find practice blades anywhere..so ill save my other 5 for deer. all in all i can sleep good tonight. i dont know what was up with my bow but its now shooting great. and i learned a pro shop is an archers best friend. they are already cutting me deals, and im in and out quick.

thank you all for putting up with me and trying to help me. im going to give it heck for all you guys this year and try to get a big ole buck.

Awesome...if you were here I could tweak your bow and make those broadheads/field points tighter however the most important thing is that the broadheads are grouping...adjut the sight and your set...

Here's a little tip to keep you shooting your field points once your broadheads are sighted in...Your broadheads are hitting what, high/left...place a dot exactly that distance low/right....you can aim for one dot and your arrows will hit the dot low/right..understand?

Keep shooting, you'll tighten them up?

Why does one arrow have a broadhead while the other two don't even have a fieldtip screwed in them?

Pretty sure that's because after he shoots one arrow, he walks out, unscrews the broadhead from that arrow and puts in on the next. That way he can shoot groups while only dulling one broadhead.

thanx guys..i feel alot better now that the bugs are worked out.

Rob....my broadheads are hitting about 1-2 inches low. i was aiming for the top left dot on the target. the middle dot is a bit shot up..i dont wanna damage them blazers already!..but i understand what you mean. i think i will leave the rest go. the guy at the shop adjusted it all to where is SHOULD be so i got plenty of room to go up with the sights. it wont take much to bring the broadheads up to the bull..i rather do that then screw up my rest AGAIN lol.

rack...i HAD 4 inch feathers up until yesterday. if i didnt refletch now i would been scrambling right before the season to have them done. i dont own a jig yet and figured i better get them done now. i liked the feathers. i love the looks of feathers too. just beat them up really quick. i had 2 pass throughs on my bag(giant hole in it i gota fix tomarrow) with the blazers and both are still perfect. i did that with feathers once and the feather ripped off at the base. i figured i better try out the blazers. i am impressed thus far. i tried tourqing badly to throw the arrow. sent it crazy fish tailing and the blazers still got it close enough to hit the deers vitals. i will say i dont think they spin like the feathers. i had a right helical on both. i think passed 25 yds blazers are the way to go. i know feathers are great i had no problems shooting at 35-40yds with feathers, but no groups like the one in the pic at 35yds.

buckeye..washington hunter is correct. instead of dulling 3 broadheads i just unscrew the same one. little more walking but i still got 5 sharp muzzys ready for a deer.

it feels good to have the kinks worked out. my confidence is boosted and the frustration of having broadheads flying off target is gone. the bow also feels better with the sights lower. cant wait...about a month to go. thatll be the true test. anyone can drill targets. when it comes down to having a big ole buck marching down the trail thats a whole new ball game. thats where i hope practice pays off. i got a pretty natural feeling form, and if my grip is proper the bow falls level and the shot is on. just gota make sure i use the right pin!
