I missed a bag target at 15 yards in my buddies basment (I was sighting in and he told me to use the second pin, so I think it was more his fault.) and the arrow stuck in the block wall of the basement. So I would guess that an arrow won't have any trouble going through a house, but 60+ yards it might not have.

I am just lucky to have nice neighbors.
You mean it wasn't even your house[&:].

Alright, I will tell the story. To get the longest shot, 35 yards,in my back yard i must shoot parellel to my house. I have a six foot privacy fence that an arrow cannot go thru, the next neighbor over doesnt have kids and never goes in the back yard. he also has a six foot privacy fence. Anyway i was pulling back, almost at full draw and my release went off. i was still pulling back, not aiming and the arrow shot off... thats when i heard it hit siding about three houses down. My house sits very high in the subdivision so it went into their house about nine feet up into their living room wall, sticking out to the fletchings.

I talked to my neighbor and she wasnt even upset. I told her i would fix everything. Tonight, i patched up the hole in the drywall. I expected to get my butt chewed out, which is what i would have done if roles were reversed. I got lucky.

I thought about completely shutting down my backyard range BUT i love shooting too much, so from now on i will only shoot 20 yards...straight at my own house. And i am getting a new release.

Things could have been alot worse. That arrow could have been alot lower and made its way in to someone's favorite chair.

Everybody has bad luck every now and then. Glad yours turned out to be partly good luck.

They have any siding left over from building the house?

Be careful with this thought. My buddy had a mishap and his arrow went thru two panels of privacy fence and stuck in the ground of his nieghbors yard.

Glad everything turned out okay for ya.
