ORIGINAL: drhntr178 Does anyone think that an arrow could go completely inside a house when shot from a distance of approximately 66.6 yds? at a very slight angle. through siding. Itwould all depepend on the bow, arrow and the house's construction. But yes, it could. (not counting hitting a window, etc) Example. My brother tried out my bow a few weeks ago. Completely missed the target and hit his garage instead. At25 yards the arrow went completely thru the 3/4" solid cedar siding, the 3/4"exterior grade plywood sheathing, 3" of fiberglass insulation and 1/2" gypsum board with only the last4" of the arrow still in the wall. Had it been an older house or lighter materials itcould have gone completely thru. |
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
The answer is yes!!! It went thru the siding, insulation, and stuck out the drywallinside the home. Almost all the way thru....the fletchings were coming out of the drywall.

RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
I would have got my butt kicked for shooting in the general direction of a house. Thats plain stupid.

RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
Well look at it this way,now you know you should have no problem getting ashoot-thru with a deer.
(either that or that you are almost ready to go House Hunting. [8D]) |
RE: NEED HELP!!!!!
Well i have seen one arrow go through a gutter of a house and stick into the facial board at about 60 yds. Buddy o' mine richocheted one off top of a deer target so yes i think it could happen ex-cept with a brick house
