Settled for a 8 point on Friday of this week in McDowell Co., southern WV. It scored 127.5. Was not the one I was after, but the doctor, on thursday, told me to stay off of my legs since my knees are in bad shape. I rattled the deer up. He came in fast and past me up. He stopped and looked at the deer decoy and came within 10 yards of the decoy, offering me a 25 yard shot. I really enjoyed taking this deer, as he answered the rattling and came to the decoy. I have taken a lot of ribbing using the decoy. It worked... I was disappointed with the spitfire broadhead. I hit the deer in the ribs and the arrow only pentrated about 8 inches. I have used Muzzy's and other broadheads and have had them to pass through the deer.. Is it an advantage to have the broadhead stay in the deer, or , is it best to pass all the way through? Any comments would be appreciated... Thank you.

No doubt in my mind I'll take a passthrough any day of the week.
Congratulations on your buck...you've earned it. Dragging around a decoy is a lot of extra effort but when the plan comes together it is very gratifying.
