Stay away from mechanicals, IMO. There are ENTIRELY too many great fixed heads out there. The list goes on and on, but to mention a few:

Magnus Stinger
Sonic
Slick Trick
Muzzy
Rocket Ultimate Steel
Wasp Boss Bullet
Montec G5
Steel Force

There are some great expandable broadheads out there also.

100 gr. thunderheads has always performed for me. No reason to try any others that I have found.

This is a area that's mostly personal choice. I've use a lot of different broadheads over the years. Iuse Montecs now I tried Muzzys,but found them hard to tune.

I use 100 thunderheads with no complaints, but i also like the idea of the one piece montec that can be easily sharpened.
