I dont go to my "local" proshop. It is run bya guy who is really knowledgable but is living in the archery world that existed 10 years ago...not many equipment upgrades there.
That said, I will normally support Ebay, or my local archery shop, which is now located in E. Greenbush, NY. It is run by an awesome dude who knows alot about shooting and bow set-up. Even though it is ah hour and 15 minutes from my house, it is now my local shop.
Try to support local, even if the prices are a little steeper.

I always try to use the local shop. They seem to have a bit more knowledge of products and performance.
I do get a little aggrivated when the local pro tries to up-sell me on a new product while downgrading what I want to use/buy [:@].
The knowledge is great, but I could do without the opinions.

The kid at Dick's Sports COMPLETELY screwed up my father-in-laws new bow. Seems he thought he knew how to set one up. Not only did he set it up wrong, but he sold him the wrong size (draw length) bow!
LOCAL BOWSHOP ONLY!!
They may be a little more expensive, but they have much better merchandise (ever try to buy a Mathews or a BowTech at Gander Mountain?), and their expertise is PRICELESS!
