Its happened to me, last Sept.practicing on the back porch. The arrow had no visable damage, pulled back let it fly and it came to pieces. It did not get stuck on the rest or anything just came to pieces. I would not put that pain on my worst enemy. Also carbon shows up on X-rays. I still have spinters in my hand. I will for now on buy new arrows every year and trash the year before's.

Just talked to a supplier when ordering some Bemans. After talking different arrows for a while he mentioned on his own that GT hunter xt's had an increased number of breaks last year over the year before. Mine was an xt purchased from them in that year. He also mentioned they'd sold more than the previous year and didn't know if the percentage had changed.
He brought it up so I'm thinking something caught his attention.
