Well said and it's exactly why i expose MD every time he opens that pie hole of his, with misinformation, inferior product pushing and his anti american outlook on american made rifles among other things.one look at his website is a perfect example of what i speak of.apparently no one has informed him how to make a website successful.the site is a living tribute to CVA,Thor,Powerbelts,APP powder, which he recently changed to BH209. the site will fail, though i doubt he really cares.

The rifles shown on the Knight website are very nice. If the folks at Knight are smart they will continue to make a few very reliable models. A proliferation of models, including some that were problematic, is what put Knight out of business.

Sincerely hope that Knight is able to recover and prosper. We need another US company making muzzleloaders.

Personally I think they went a tad bit too heavy into the thumbhole stocks. I actually prefer a TH stock, but I am left handed. I think they have shunted the LH shooters completely. They could have at least offered one or two ambi. stocks. I am not asking them to make a LH model only, but I bet if they did a LH TH model it would sell.

I noticed they don't offer any Long Range Hunters unless they are TH designed. I think that is a mistake.

Knight is a small company. They should be providing niche products, I think they misssed the boat just a little bit.

Personaly I like the disc and I like the bolt design. IMO they are more accurate overall than the break action rifles. And I own both.

Personally I think they should specialize and cater a bit more to different niches, I don't think they did that.

And as far as the 52 caliber is concerned. In the MZ world I think that is a complete waste of time. They have just limited their product sales that much more.

They better wise up. And you guys know I am a Knight proponent. But I think they missed the ball here.

I bet if they brought out a LH TH stock in a 50 caliber LRH they would have sold more of that one single gun(LH Model) than all the LRH's they will sell this year. Maybe I am wrong but that is just my opinion. Who else is catering to the lefties?? Nobody I know. And I don't think it would have cost them any more to offer a simlpe rifle with only a slighly different stock?? Tom.

Only wiggling is you trying to get off the hook you firmly impaled yourself on. Just can't admit you where wrong comparing one companies msrp to anothers street price rather then their msrp. Fishing is better when the bait ain't drowning.

As far as the lineup of guns I think some of us were expecting or hoping for a little more. Gordy had asked people what they would like to see in the new rifles and I know a lot of us wanted to see the faster twist. We have all been waiting to see them for quite a while so I suppose that led to some unrealistic expectations. There is nothing in their new offerings that I really feel would do anything the Knight's I own now won't do. A Lehigh conversion will make my disc elite more bh 209 friendly if I ever decide to go that direction.
The prices do not surprise me at all. We have seen a lot of Knight Rifles dumped on the market in the last couple years and sold for bargain basement prices. There is no way a company can be profitable selling guns at those prices. The thing that I wonder about is are they even producing any guns yet. I did not really see where they said when the rifles will be availiable. I have to wonder if they are taking orders with the $50 deposit, and will not be building the rifles until they have a certain ammount of them sold. I am also curious about what kind of dealer network they are in the process of building, I guess time will tell.
I wish them all the best.

I'm with you on the faster twist issue flounder. I was sure hoping to see that option in a decent .45 from them. As far as the .52, it seems to me that poor old horse is dead.

At six and a half pounds, the Littlehorn appears to have promise in the market. They don't show the length of pull for that model, but I assume it's something like twelve inches. But again, I think they missed the boat by not offering it in .45 caliber. It would be a sweet little gun with 200 grain .40 caliber bullets and recoil that any kid could handle.

Just when you think you do, you don't. I would rather not give false information. May is along time away, let's wait and see what happens in the mean time.

I think the Mountaineer has promise. I sure would like to hold and examine one before putting my money down. From just the descriptions on their web site how can you tell if the Mountaineer is blackhorn compatible or not. I shoot left handed too.All of these right handed thumbholes stocks are a problem for me too.I may give them a call and see what if any committment they can give me on shipping times after an order has been placed.
