Finally got to sight in my Remington Genesis today.Shooting 240 grain XTP bullets behind 100 grains of T7.Using Williams peep sight with the factory red fiber optic front sight.Sighted in at 50 yards for all shooting.Shot 10 shots total and took me 5 shots before I could work into bulls eye.Last 5 shots in bulls eye measured 2 inches with 2 shots going into the same hole.To me the gun seems like a very accurate muzzleloader and I am pleased with it for shooting open sights. Was very easy to sight in and I ran a spit patch between every shot I made.Torch cam wanted to stick some but every time I shot I cleaned the inside where torch cam flips up and the back of barrel where where they meet with alcohol and a patch which only took about 30 seconds. This is a minor inconvience I think as I like the strong lockup of the cam when it closes. For 165.00 stainless muzzleloader I think this is a great working mans gun that should bring home the venision.I definitely had to get the 4 inch extension for ramrod from TC and it really helped with loading and cleaning. Now I just pray the good Lord blesses me with a deer with it this year. Yes today I was practicing loading with the factory ramrod. When I had my 100 grain charge down in it, and the 300 grain Hornady XTP the ramrod barely sticks out the end of the barrel. I have to agree that the rifle is a great shooter and easy to take care of. I have not tried the 240 grain bullets. Are you shooting the .44 or .45 caliber ones?
Good luck hunting. It sounds like you're all set.

Cayugad I am shooting the 44 caliber bullets that TC puts out with the black sabots that came supplied with them. They seem to load very easy compared to the Barnes Expanders I use to shoot that were real hard to push down. The 240 grains should do fine as I killed a bear years ago with one of these with good results so a deer should be just right if I get a shot. This was the first time I shot a muzzleloader in 5 years due to some health problems but man it felt good to see the smoke again!Sighted my slug gun in today also shooting Federal Premium Barnes Expanders and man those things are accurate and deliver a knockdown blow.Just wish they were not so hard to load in a blackpowder gun. Most of my shots in Virginia are around 50 to 60 yards as I hunt mountains and riverbottoms. When you are 52 like me I still hunt very hard but smarter than when I was 20 as your body tells you what you can do but my walking 2 miles a day has helped a lot and hopefully I will be able to weight lift again soon as that helps a lot.Got a 7 year old boy that I will take with me as much as he wants to go and he loves to hunt also.Hope you have good success hunting this year Cayugad!
