Cayugad yes Iwill mount it where the scope mounts go.Will mountit on the front set of holes near the factory rear sight.Where the torch cam raises up the sight will slightly interfer with it but it looks real nice in the front set of holes and hopefully I wont have to much blowback to clean off of it by mounting it in the forward set of holes.Nice little sight for the price. I would mount the peep sight as close to your eye as you can. That would obviously be the REAR scope mounting holes, but you mention that may cause interference with the torch cam. If you must use the FRONT mounting holes, you may need to bore out the aperture some, as that is getting away from your eye a bit.
Anyway, mount it as close to your eye as you can without interfering with anything. I wouldn't worry too much about blowback. Just monitor and scrub when necessary. You won't have any problem with blowback using the front mounting holes.
I much prefer peep sights to regular iron sights, have used one for a long time on my T/C Renegade. Shot quite a few deer mostly within 50-75 yds.

I have a Renegade with a peep sight. A T/C Peep tang model. It was a fantastic shooter. But I would hate to count the number of deer I had to pass on in those last few minutes of the day when they seem to appear. I hunt shadows, and cedar/balsam marshes and you can not believe how dark it gets in them unless you've been in one.
I finally took it off and went back to iron sights. Maybe I should have went to a fiber optic front sight instead...

I bored out my T/C peep sightaperture to at least .125", the one supplied with it was way too small, seemed more like a target aperture. When bored out it did not limit my dawn/dusk/shadows shooting in compariaon to normal irons. I also used it a couple times with the aperture removed, worked fine.

Got the Cabelas flyer yesterday in the mail. It had the Remington Genesis Buckmaster edition in it for $200.00 instead of $400.00. Fluted barrel and camo stock. I showed it to the wife; she said if me giving her my Genesis meant I had to have another one that I could have it back. I reassured her that i didn't want it back . Wonder how long before I can convince her that I need this gun? The sale ends in November so I don't have long
. Such is life . Right??

Yesterday, I took some Pyrodex RS out. I loaded 100 grains of the stuff on a clean barrel and a 250 grain Barnes Expander in a RED sabot. These were bought off the Tradition's website. So I have no idea who made the sabots, but I figured if they were good for a Traditions inline this Genesis might like them.
That first shot had me worried when I fired. I could not believe how high it went. Then the rifle started to go to work. Then suddenly it changed its Point of Impact. Why I have no idea. Maybe the sun was effecting the way I was seeing the sights and target. Who knows. The last two were shot on a dirty dirty barrel. I could hardly push them down the barrel but they did not do too bad.
I then swabbed it clean and shot off the rest of the 200 grain Shockwaves to see how they liked Pyrodex RS. They did the same as the other day. About a light two inch group. Very good for me and open sights.
I also shot some 375 gr Buffalo Bullet SSB's with 100 grains of powder. They load like a dream. They did good but were shooting a vertical line up through the bulls eye. All of them were more then hunting accurate.
This might be an exciting rifle with a good Bushnell 3200 Elite scope on it.

That rifle you describe sounds real nice. My rifle does not have the fluted barrel. Is that price they quote with the Remington rebate?

Yea with the 35.00 rebate. It's $234.95, then after the rebate it's $199.95. Stainless steel and fluted barrel with camo stock . really nice looking, especially after having the blued and black model for so long. But a big hurdle to go The wifey poo,

Well you will just have to make a deal with her or something like that...
Or buy it and then suffer the wrath of them. I did that (back in the 80's)once with a $500.00 rifle. She didn't talk to me for over a week. It was the first peace and quiet I had in that house for years...
