Yesterday, I took some Pyrodex RS out. I loaded 100 grains of the stuff on a clean barrel and a 250 grain Barnes Expander in a RED sabot. These were bought off the Tradition's website. So I have no idea who made the sabots, but I figured if they were good for a Traditions inline this Genesis might like them.
That first shot had me worried when I fired. I could not believe how high it went. Then the rifle started to go to work. Then suddenly it changed its Point of Impact. Why I have no idea. Maybe the sun was effecting the way I was seeing the sights and target. Who knows. The last two were shot on a dirty dirty barrel. I could hardly push them down the barrel but they did not do too bad.
I then swabbed it clean and shot off the rest of the 200 grain Shockwaves to see how they liked Pyrodex RS. They did the same as the other day. About a light two inch group. Very good for me and open sights.
I also shot some 375 gr Buffalo Bullet SSB's with 100 grains of powder. They load like a dream. They did good but were shooting a vertical line up through the bulls eye. All of them were more then hunting accurate.
This might be an exciting rifle with a good Bushnell 3200 Elite scope on it.

That rifle you describe sounds real nice. My rifle does not have the fluted barrel. Is that price they quote with the Remington rebate?
