Congrats! I got my first Muzzleloader deer last year, a doe and I am as proud of it as any other deer I have gotten. Bow or gun.

+ I sure would like to duplicate that camo pattern on the grond in the back ground - that could be a money maker...
I know what you mean. The areas I've hunted this year are covered in that straw looking grass. I'd love to be able to submit a particular pattern and had clothes made to resemble where you hunt.

Nice deer. In my opinion every deer is a trophyespecially one with a smoke pole.
I am quick to admit that in my younger days I would not have been "proud" to take a doe by any means. Now that I've reached the grand ole age of 33 I have learned to appreciate the experience ALOT more.

The ability/priveledge to take any legal deer is an honor to me now.

Speaking of firsts, I am still in need of my first bow kill. I found a good area today on land. It's a heavily used trail leading from a thicket to a water hole. The odd thing about the water hole is it is on top of a ridge. It's actually a saddle where 4 ridges meet.

I'd love to get my first bow kill the same year I got my first ML/first indiana deer kill. Honestly, that'd make my season, no question.

In 2 days I saw 11 deer, 10 doe's and an "other" (didn't get to see if it was a buck or doe but it was alone) in this area.

I believe I'll come down with a freak cold Tuesday or Wednesday and spend an all-day'er with my smokepole.
