Default Skunked no more!

Got my first indiana deer this morning. 34 yards (rangefinder). CVA Wolf, 95gr Triple Se7en loose powder, 295gr powerbelt.

She went about 10 yards (downhill)

Thanks cayugad, she was no brute but will be some good eating. Tomorrow will probably be my last day to hunt this year so I no longer had the option of being "choosey".

Let's hope for a buck tomorrow.

I fully understand that.. I only saw the one deer I shot. Had I passed on her, I would be without venison this year and that would be hard to live with.

Thanks, I do like it. Haven't had much time to experiment with different loads yet. Had it bore-sighted and took 7 shots to get it centered a 100yds. I'm looking forward to the spring/summer where I can hit the range on a regular basis.

The scope is a BSA DeerHunter 2.5 - 10 X44mm. It was $70 at Gander Mtn. It looks huge on that gun but the Wolf only has a 24" barrel.

LD

Faced the same delemma myself a couple weeks ago - getting to the end of the season and the snow was getting deep... early the last Friday took care of business...

Congrats! Job well done + look at the confidence you have in your gun and your load. They had better look out next season

+ I sure would like to duplicate that camo pattern on the grond in the back ground - that could be a money maker...
