20 Ga.
If I can get accross the border, you can.
Get a passport, get all your documents and pappers filled and you should be fine.

THe law states convicted felons - and much has to do with how long ago. My broher-in-law had a DUI in 1980 and they asked him at Highgate Crossing (QC) if he had any convictions and he said yes in 1980. They said OK and let him in. If he had said no the border cop told us they would have denied him entry. The system has records of all offenses but the felonies are what the folks in QC want to assess.

2008 is a requirement for land crossings - Alaska should let you in until 2008?

Two years a go my son went into canada from Washington State. He had a fight with his girlfriend when they wer teenagers 15 years ago.
The customs agent said, "That's kids stuff, go ahead."
Last year he went in above Great Falls and the customs agent said ,'Well, I see you had a domestic violence violation about 15 years ago."
My son said, "Yeah, she hit me and scratched my face and I just was holding her arms and she ended up getting scratched a little, by accident." "They arrested me."

The agent said, "Well , If you give me 200$ good faith money, I'll let you through."
My son said, "I have a job in Alaska and I don't have that money to spare." So he had to drive clear back to Montana, he was not happy...
So, I guess its up to the particular agent. Seems like this one wanted a little bribe to let my son through. He said the next time he will put his truck on the ferry in Seattle and go up that way..
Strange world we live in.

Either you are lying, or your son lied too you! Ive heard this scenario many times and everyone says customs agent wanted a bribe... Its a processing fee!

read it right here,, amazing the fee is $200 isnt it?

The gun fee was 50 dollars and dropped to 25. Guys in my group paid 25 bucks last year.
