I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I am interrested in knowing why people enter the deer contest. For me, I do it to get to know other hunters a little better. I find it easier to get to know people in a team thread rather then other threads that stick around for a few days then get lost.

Actually the comeraderie and the interaction of the contest is a good time to me and the most worthwhile aspect. The last few I didn't feel capable of putting a solid enough effort in to possibly help a team out but this year the family and I are more settled, I have access to good hunting again, and am just plain excited about bowhunting again.

Honestly, just to be part of what's going on, on the site and to make my time on the site more enjoyable. It's certainly not going to change the way I hunt or the buck I shoot (or don't).
